How often can I send and receive group location updates?
The free version updates your location every two minutes. The full version updates your location about every five seconds. When you lock your device or put Friend Radar into the background, it will reduce the update frequency to save battery life. You can select the update interval to be "2 min" (every two minutes) or "OFF" (no updates while inactive).
The full version also gives you new background update modes: "5 sec" (use sparingly! will impact battery life!), "10 min" (less frequent regular updates to save battery life), and "On The Move". The "On The Move" option works on supported devices (iPhone 4 and 3GS, and iPad 3G models) and only wakes up Friend Radar to send an update when you switch cell towers. This is a great way to save battery life but still update frequently when you're driving.
